At Snapabase, we take your privacy and the security of your database credentials extremely seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and why Snapabase is built as a local-first application to protect your sensitive data.

2. Local-First Architecture

Snapabase is a desktop application designed to run locally on your machine. We do not operate cloud servers for processing or storing your backups.

• No Server Uploads: Your database credentials, API keys, and backup files never leave your computer unless you explicitly configure them to be transferred elsewhere.
• Local Storage: All application settings and connection details are stored securely on your local file system.
• Direct Connections: Snapabase connects directly from your machine to your Supabase projects. We do not proxy or intercept any database traffic.

3. Telemetry and Analytics

We believe your workflow is your business.

• No Tracking: Snapabase does not include tracking pixels, usage analytics, or invasive telemetry.
• No Crash Reporting: We do not automatically send crash reports. If you encounter an issue, we rely on you to contact us with the necessary logs or details.

4. License Verification and Payments

When you purchase and activate a license for Snapabase, certain information is processed to validate your purchase.

• Payment Processing: All payments are handled securely by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. We do not collect or store your credit card information.
• Activation: When you enter your license key, the application briefly connects to Lemon Squeezy's API to verify the key's validity. This request includes the license key itself and a machine identifier to enforce the 3-machine limit.
